What commitments have you made to sustainable tourism ?

We are currently engaged in a process of improving our carbon footprint with the Centre Val de Loire Region and have already implemented the following measures
- waste sorting and reduction
- sorting and reduction of bio-waste
- installation of aerators and shower heads in bathrooms and shower rooms
- installation of dual-flush toilets
- LED lighting and energy-saving light bulbs
- change of sheets and towels only on request
- training of staff on sustainable tourism and environmental impacts

We are all actors of change.

What are the arrival, departure and breakfast times ?

Arrival :
- November to March : 3 pm to 9 pm maximum
- April to October : 4 pm to 10 pm maximum
We ask you to indicate your arrival time in advance and to warn us in case of delay.

Departure :
Between 7.30 am and 11 am.
If you wish to leave earlier, please inform the reception who will explain the procedure.

Breakfast :
- weekdays : between 7.30 am and 10 am
- Sunday : between 7.30 am and 11 am
Breakfast is served as a buffet and you must come and take your tray in the dining room and go back upstairs if you prefer to take it in your room.

How are the rooms equipped ?

Depending on the category chosen, the size of the bed differs :
- standard single: bed 120x190 cm
- single superior / double / double PRM: bed 140x190 cm
- double superior : bed 160x200 cm
- standard twin : 2 beds 90x190 cm
- triple standard : beds 140x190 + 90x190 cm
- triple superior : bed 160x200 cm + convertible chair 80x190 cm
- triple superior PMR : bed 160x200 cm + convertible chair 80x190 cm
- standard quadruple : 2 beds 140x190 cm
- superior quadruple : bed 160x200 cm + bunk beds 90x190 cm

To ensure the best comfort, the rooms are equipped with a desk & chairs, a wardrobe, a luggage rack, a column fan, a safe and shutters
(either blinds, electric shutters or roller shutters).

How are the bathrooms equipped ?

Depending on the room, this room is equipped with a shower or bathtub, a washbasin, a wall mirror, a removable magnifying mirror and a hairdryer.

Of course, you will find welcome products: shower gel, soap, cups and towels
(small towels, bath sheets and mats).

ATTENTION, only 4 rooms with bath
(one standard double, one standard twin, the superior triple and the superior quadruple).
All other rooms have a shower.

Does the hotel have a lift ?

No, there is no lift in the hotel.

The hotel has 3 floors and some room categories are located on the 3rd floor (superior doubles, standard triples, 1 standard single, 2 superior singles and 1 standard double). 

Therefore, please ask or tell us if you want a room on the ground floor or the first floor. 

On our website, the floors are indicated according to the chosen room category.

Does the hotel have air conditioning ?

No.

However, each room has a column fan. 

On hot days, the floor staff close the shutters to keep your room as cool as possible. 

Please try to keep them closed when you arrive.

Can I bring my pet ?

No.

Due to concerns, we no longer accept pets.

What methods of payment are accepted ?

 

We accept the following methods of payment:
- by credit card
(eurocard / mastercard, visa, american express, vpay, contactless, paylib)
- in cash
- bank cheque
(+ identity card)
- ANCV (paper and connect)

Possibility to pay online via a secure link (on request)

What are the hotel's annual holiday dates ?

Our annual holidays in 2023 are from 5 to 26 February inclusive, then from 26 November to 10 December inclusive.

In addition, we are closed on 24+25 December each year.

Where is the hotel located in Blois ?

The hotel is located in the city centre, between the SNCF train station and the Royal Castle, in the grounds of a private residence (not closed).

How to get to the hotel ?

By car / motorbike : 

Follow the direction of the town centre: access via Rue Jean Moulin (BUS PARK lane) or Boulevard Chanzy, then enter the LAIGRET car park to access the hotel.

By bike : 

At the Jacques Gabriel bridge, take the cycle track on rue Emile Laurens, then go straight on rue Anne de Bretagne, turn right on rue des Jacobins and left on rue Saint Lubin. Then turn right into rue des fossés du Château, at the traffic lights turn left into avenue du docteur Jean Laigret (right-hand pavement), we are at the top after about 300m.

On foot : 

From the station, go straight on towards the town centre, then turn left into the Laigret car park.

Does the hotel have a private car park ?

Yes !

We have 2 underground parking spaces at 10 € / space / day. They are located at about 200 m from the hotel. The deposit is 45 € in case of loss of the beeper.

ATTENTION to the dimensions of your vehicle because any reserved parking will be charged.

Is it easy to park your car ?

There are 4 possibilities to park near our hotel :
- free of charge in front of the hotel, depending on availability
- Pay parking in front of the hotel at 50 m, public parking in the green zone
(5 € per day) and from 9 am to 12 pm & from 2 pm to 6.30 pm (pay machines with payment in cash or card)
- 200 m away, underground parking of the Château STATIONEO (9 € per day)
- We have 2 underground parking spaces at 10 € / space / day. Located about 200m from the hotel. The deposit is 45 € in case of loss of the beeper.

ATTENTION to the dimensions of your vehicle because any reserved parking will be charged.

Where can I find long-term parking ?

In the public car park (opposite the hotel, 50m away), for a fee of € 12, you can leave your vehicle for up to 7 days, you must choose the option FORFEIT (parking meters with payment in cash or card).

For a longer period, the underground parking of the Château STATIONEO will be the only solution (40 € for 15 days).

Where can I park my two-wheeler safely ?

For bicycles, the hotel has an adjoining private garden = ask for the key at the reception. 

For motorbikes we have an adjoining secure yard.

So don't hesitate to ask us, there is always a solution !

Is the hotel a partner of the "Accueil Vélo" and "Loire à vélo" brands ?

Yes, we have been a partner of "Loire à vélo" and "Accueil vélo" for many years and offer :
- a secure room
- tools for your small repairs
- a cleaning kit

How far is the hotel from the cycle paths ?

The track is located at the end of the driveway, less than 50 m away ! This path is the one that starts from the station and goes towards the city centre via the marked and safe paths.

Where can you hire bikes ?

There are several agencies nearby:

- Détours de Loire (100 m)
- Les Vélos Verts (300 m)
- Rando Vélo (750 m)

We advise you to contact them in advance to ensure availability on your dates.

Where can I eat in the area ?

We work with our partner restaurant LE MONARQUE, Logis Terroir*, which is located less than 10 minutes away on foot.

*Logis Terroir classification = traditional French and regional cuisine.

During the summer period (April to October), the restaurant offers a pleasant sheltered terrace.
The menus are displayed in the lobby and in your room.
We can reserve a table for you, if you wish.

Otherwise, of course, there are other restaurants of different categories in the city centre and we can point them out to you.

What to do in Blois ?

Of course, the inevitable Royal Castle of Blois and its garden (500 m on foot), the House of Magic (opposite the castle), the Fondation du Doute (800 m on foot) and above all the numerous pedestrian streets, green spaces and historical buildings.

And to complete your day, the Son & Lumière show at the Royal Castle
(between April and September)

What to visit in the area ?

You are spoilt for choice with the numerous Châteaux of the Loire, starting with the most famous of all, CHAMBORD, but also CHEVERNY, which inspired Hergé to house the famous Captain Haddock, or CHAUMONT-SUR-LOIRE, known worldwide for its garden festival.

What are the health protocols in place ?

- distancing thanks to floor markings
- Hydro-alcoholic gel or liquid is available
- Plexiglas at the reception
- For breakfast, the order of pastries must be made the day before
- Payment by credit card and without contact is recommended
- Payment is requested on arrival
(no collection in the morning)
- A place is defined for the deposit of keys at the end of the stay (they are then disinfected before being put away on the key board)
